All crammed in an elderly 40 metre metal hulled boat - in seas of all conditions with temperatures often in the 30's.

Spooks (2002)
aka: MI-5
Spooks shines a light on the work of Section D-- a crack team of spies in MI5s counter-terrorism department. Since the very first episode in 2002 its gloriously inventive visual style, classy scripts, stellar talent and deep emotional pull have entertained the socks off audiences worldwide. Under MI5s modern remit, officers deal with anything from terrorist plots and immigration rings to arms smuggling and the drugs trade. Their job, indeed their life, involves outwitting the world's most dangerous criminal minds using their powers of perception and deception. And though the series delights in revealing the tricks of the trade - backstops, safe houses, dead letter sites - it's also frequently, scarily prescient when covering potential world events and terrorist atrocities.

Series 10 production began in April 2011.

This series follows the eventful lives of some high-school kids in Tree Hill, a small but not too quiet town in North Carolina, where the greatest source of pride is the high school basketball team, the Ravens, since living memory coached by old Whitey Durham. Its greatest talent ever was Dan Scott, who now runs a successful car dealership. The present talents are his two sons, Nathan Scott, a beautiful and popular athlete, the absolute star, who was molded and stifled by his proud dad, ambitious Dan Scott, who pushes him harder then even the coach approves of, but rather neglected by his spoiled, impulsive mother Deb, an alcoholic, and Lucas, abandoned at birth with his devoted mother, hard-working café-owner Karen Roe, who grew up with Dan's older but poor brother Keith as substitute father as a social reject, only playing hoops on a public yard in the park with street-kids, his passion being reading; when an incident forces the coach to replace suspended players, Lucas soon proves the revelation, and after a while gets accepted and develops a dynamic, in the long run good relationship with his brother, who turns on his dad. Of course the teenage boys have friends, and especially a confusing series of usually short-loved 'eternal' love affairs with musical talents Peyton and Haley, also a tutor, and irresistible man-eater Brooke... Written by KGF Vissers

Besides a love for hoops, it would seem that Lucas and Nathan are two young men with little in common - except for the dark secret that they share the same father. Arrogant and assured, Nathan is the star of the high school basketball team and hails from the wealthiest family in town. Quiet, brooding and driven, Lucas is a loner, the only child of a single working mom. He's always kept his distance from Nathan. But their lives collide when a twist of fate puts Lucas on Nathan's team. The rumor that's haunted the boys since childhood now becomes more than just whispers as the half-brothers compete not only for control of the court, but also for the heart of Nathan's girlfriend. So unfolds a deep and bitter conflict that's been years in the making; one that will play itself out in their homes, their hearts and at school as they struggle to come to terms with who they really are - and the fact that they may have more in common than they ever imagined.

Vice (2013)
aka: VICE (HBO)
aka: Doctor House
aka: House
aka: House MD
"Vice" is innovative news magazine show that will showcase a mix of stories from around the globe. Among the segments in production for possible inclusion in the show are: Taliban child suicide bombers;North Korean slave labor camps; New York's underground voodoo heroin clinics; Somalian pirates; and Satanic dentists in the Pacific Northwest.

The show stars Peter Krause as Nathaniel Samuel ("Nate") Fisher Jr., the son of a funeral director who, upon the death of his father (Richard Jenkins), reluctantly becomes a partner in the family funeral business with his brother David, played by Michael C. Hall. The Fisher clan also includes mother Ruth (Frances Conroy) and sister Claire (Lauren Ambrose). Other regulars include mortician and family friend Federico Diaz (Freddy Rodriguez), Nate's on-again, off-again girlfriend Brenda Chenowith (Rachel Griffiths), and David's boyfriend Keith Charles (Mathew St. Patrick).

On one level, the show is a conventional family drama, dealing with such issues as relationships, infidelity, and religion. At the same time, it is a show distinguished by its unblinking focus on the topic of death, which it explores on multiple levels (personal, religious, and philosophical). Each episode begins with a death — anything from drowning or heart attack to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome — and that death usually sets the tone for each episode, allowing the characters to reflect on their current fortunes and misfortunes in a way that is illuminated by the death and its aftermath. The show also has a strong dosage of dark humor and surrealism running throughout.

A recurring plot device consists of a character having an imaginary conversation with the person who died at the beginning of the episode. Sometimes, the conversation is with other recurring dead characters, notably Nathaniel Fisher Sr. The show's creator Alan Ball states they represent the living character's internal dialogue by exposing it as an external conversation, yet on some occasions (see the appearance of Nathaniel Fisher Sr. at the end of the last episode of the first season) no living character sees or interacts with the dead character. Also, on many occasions the dead characters relate information the living ones could not know, perhaps representing speculation on the part of the living concerning issues which were never solved before the passing.[original research?] Casual conversations with the dead also reflect the genre of magical realism.

Cable Access Televisions exciting new program on how to paint is not only educational, it's also a high octane gabfest. Hosted by renowned Los Angeles artist and performer John Kilduff, "Lets Paint TV" encourages the viewer not to be afraid to, as Kilduff likes to say, "throw down the paint!"

The artist's devil-may-care attitude is instrumental in helping viewers conquer the primary stumbling block that prevents most people from expressing themselves on canvas, the fear of making mistakes. Kilduff got that one figured out: "Making mistakes is part of the fun! Ole!"

Join Kilduff as he takes you through the entire process of creating still-lifes, landscapes, and portraits.

In "Lets Paint TV" Kilduff also leavens his lessons with light hearted banter. It is sort of like the show Emeril Lagasse might do if he were a painter. Emphasize "sort of" here.

In 2003, a new Astro Boy anime series was created to celebrate the birth date of Astro Boy (as well as the 40th anniversary of the 1963 series). Under the original English name (instead of Tetsuwan Atom), it kept the same classic art style as the original Astro Boy manga and anime, but was revisioned and modernized with more lush, high-quality, near-theatrical animation and visuals. It combined the playfulness of the early anime with the darker, more serious and dramatic Science Fiction themes of the manga and the '80s anime. The anime broadcasted in Japan (on the same date as Astro's birth in the manga, April 7, 2003) across Animax and Fuji Television, with lots of fanfare.
